Sweet Wedding Favours | The Ned Kelly

May 27, 2020

This is the first of our three part series on sweet DIY wedding favours and bombonieres. Today we check out a simple way to show your guests just how much you really love them, on your wedding day.

So how can we provide a heartfelt gift to our amazing guests without blowing the budget?

It’s true, you could organise and purchase personalised candy and pre-made favours but with a little planning, you can showcase your personality and individual wedding style simply by visiting the Dorrigo Sweet Shop‘s online store.

In this example, the “Tia Maria” hard candy – with its light and dark brown espresso hues – looks gorgeous presented in a jar, bag or box, and tied with bakers twine. This deceptively decadent lolly is simple but elegant. From a crispy caramel coffee flavoured candy shell to an unexpected “burst of chocolate” centre, these lollies are understated elegance.

We ordered several different bags of our preferred candy online and were able to sit back at home and take our time trying different flavours and varying our packaging, all in front of the telly!

The Sweet Details :

  • Would suit a vintage, rustic or colonial styled celebration in shades of brown, rust, grey and gold
  • Think sheds, barns, hot mulled wine and fire pits! Mmmm blissfully toasty.

  • Compliment your wedding favours with hand written notes of thanks on recycled cream or brown card
